Wipro NLTH 2026: Pattern and Eligibility
Wipro’s fresher hiring test is called NLTH or Elite NTH, depending on the source. The most commonly reported structure is three sections (aptitude, written communication, and programming), but prep sites disagree on question counts, timing splits, negative marking, and several eligibility rules, and we couldn’t confirm any of it on Wipro’s own pages.
A note on sourcing: the pages we could read on Wipro’s careers site describe the Elite track only in general terms and give no test pattern, eligibility rules, or dates. Everything below comes from prep-site reporting as of October 2026, and many of those sites appear to copy one another. Where sources agree we say so, where they conflict we show both sides, and we haven’t invented a figure to settle a disagreement. Check Wipro’s careers site and your own test invite before relying on any number here.
If you’re comparing Wipro with other tests, see our guides to the TCS NQT Advanced Quantitative round, the TCS NQT verbal section, and Infosys logical reasoning.
What Is Wipro NLTH, and Why Do Some Sites Call It Elite NTH?
Prep sites use “NLTH” (National Level Talent Hunt) and “Elite NTH” (National Talent Hunt) for the same fresher hiring test, so don’t be thrown if two pages seem to describe different exams. Wipro’s own Early Careers page describes Elite as a technical graduate hiring program, which matches what the test is used for: shortlisting freshers for technical roles.
What Test Structure Is Commonly Reported?
The version repeated most often across prep sites has three sections:
| Section | Commonly reported time |
|---|---|
| Aptitude (quantitative, logical, verbal) | About 48 minutes |
| Written communication | About 20 minutes |
| Programming (two problems) | About 60 minutes |
| Total | About 128 minutes |
Treat this as “most commonly reported”, not “confirmed”. Many of the sites repeating it look copied from each other, so the agreement doesn’t count as independent verification.
Where Sources Disagree
| Detail | What different sources say |
|---|---|
| Aptitude question count | About 36 (roughly 12 per area) in one source; 52 (16 quant, 14 logical, 22 verbal) in others |
| Time split inside aptitude | Two sources that both total 48 minutes divide it differently across quant, logical and verbal |
| Overall structure | One source describes 20 aptitude questions plus one essay in 60 minutes; another adds a Spoken English section |
| Negative marking | Several say none for MCQs; others say essay penalties apply beyond roughly five errors; one notes it isn’t verified |
| Coding format | Two problems in 60 minutes is widely repeated; one source says it moved from fix-the-code to write-from-scratch |
Because of these conflicts, don’t plan around a specific question count or assume there’s no negative marking. Read the instructions on your own test.
Eligibility: What’s Cited and What Isn’t Consistent
Most prep sites cite a minimum of around 60% (or 6.0 CGPA) in 10th, 12th and graduation, and at least one source cited 65% for graduation. On the other rules the sources split:
- Backlogs: some say one backlog is allowed at the time of the test (all cleared before an offer); others say no active backlogs.
- Education gap: sources give different maximums, anywhere from one to three years.
- Graduation batch: 2026 is most often cited, but some sources list 2025 to 2027 or 2024 to 2026, and one says it varies by drive.
- Registration fee: commonly described as free, but we couldn’t confirm it.
There are no fixed registration dates in the sources we read, and some describe Wipro as running rolling batches. Wipro’s careers site is the place to confirm current criteria and dates.
Which Aptitude Topics Are Reported Most Often?
Prep sites name these most consistently, though each list comes from only a few sources, so use it to prioritise rather than as a guarantee:
- Time and Work and Time, Speed and Distance (including trains)
- Simple Interest and Compound Interest
- Ratio and Proportion
- Percentage, Profit and Loss and Average
You’ll also see claims that Wipro’s test is harder than TCS NQT or Infosys. We didn’t find a source that actually compared them, so treat that as unverified.
Solved Examples in the Reported Style
These are practice questions written in the style prep sites describe, not claims that they appeared on a real Wipro test.
Question (Time and Work): A can finish a job in 12 days and B in 18 days. They work together for 4 days, then A leaves. How many more days does B need to finish the job?
Solution: A and B together do 1/12 + 1/18 = 5/36 of the job per day. In 4 days they finish 20/36 = 5/9, leaving 4/9. B alone does 1/18 per day, so the rest takes (4/9) ÷ (1/18) = 8 days.
Question (Compound Interest): Find the compound interest on ₹10,000 for 2 years at 10% per annum, compounded annually.
Solution: Amount = 10,000 × (1.10)² = 10,000 × 1.21 = ₹12,100. Compound interest = 12,100 − 10,000 = ₹2,100.
How to Prepare When the Sources Disagree
Prepare for the overlap instead of betting on one version. Practise the topics above for the aptitude section, rehearse a short, clear written answer for the communication section, and keep your coding fundamentals sharp, since every reported version includes some programming. Practise under time pressure, because even the sources that disagree on everything else agree the sections are timed.

Is there negative marking in Wipro NLTH?
Sources disagree. Several say there is none for MCQs, while others say essay penalties apply beyond roughly five errors. Check the instructions on your own test instead of assuming.
What is the eligibility for Wipro NLTH?
