Capgemini Aptitude Questions 2026

11 October 2026 · Pocket Aptitude Team

Capgemini’s own recruitment page says its fresher online aptitude test assesses logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative skills, and that candidates may take proctored assessments where applicable. Prep sites describe a newer format with game-based cognitive, English and technical sections, and they disagree on counts and timings. Check your own invite.

A note on sourcing: Capgemini’s careers pages describe the process in general terms only. Everything more specific below, including section names, question counts and timings, comes from prep-site reporting as of October 2026. Those sites contradict each other, and several appear to share candidate reports. We separate what Capgemini states, what sites report, and what they dispute, and we haven’t picked a figure to settle a disagreement.

What Does Capgemini Officially Say?

On its recruitment process page, Capgemini describes four steps: application, screening and position mapping, interviews, and background verification with onboarding. It says you may be required to complete proctored online technical and language assessments, where applicable.

For freshers, the page describes the online aptitude test as assessing logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative skills, and the coding or technical assessment as evaluating programming knowledge and problem-solving. It says the process typically takes a few weeks.

The page gives no question counts, timings, negative-marking rules, eligibility cutoffs, or mention of game-based tests.

What Test Structure Do Prep Sites Report?

Prep sites describe more than one version, and they don’t agree:

Source typeWhat it reports
One prep site (2026 content)Four online sections: technical MCQs with pseudocode (about 40 questions), English (about 30), a game-based cognitive section (4 games from a pool), and a behavioural section; then a coding round and interviews. It says the older aptitude and logical reasoning sections were removed
Another prep site (2026 framework)Five stages: AI-scored English, a technical module, debugging, AI-assisted coding, and a game-based adaptive cognitive assessment. No counts or timings, and it says details vary by drive
A third prep site (updated November 2025)The older pattern: online aptitude and an essay (quant, logical, verbal), technical MCQs, then technical and HR interviews

The first two agree that a game-based cognitive assessment and an English round are part of the recent format, but they disagree on whether pseudocode is included. The third describes the older pattern, which matches Capgemini’s own wording better. Reports also say the pattern varies by drive and campus.

Where Sources Disagree

DetailWhat different sources say
Aptitude contentCapgemini names logical, verbal and quant; one prep site says quant and logical were removed; another describes games instead
PseudocodePresent in some prep-site descriptions, absent from another’s 2026 framework
Total timeOne site’s stated total doesn’t match its own section timings
Eligibility cutoffPrep sites give 60% and 65%; Capgemini’s older drive pages gave 50%, and we couldn’t verify a current figure
Negative markingNo source states it credibly
Behavioural testA 100-question version appears on only one site, with no corroboration

Because of this, don’t plan around a specific count or assume anything about negative marking. We haven’t quoted pay bands either, since they come from a single prep-site source.

Which Question Types Should You Practise?

Capgemini’s official wording points to three areas, and prep sites list the same topics for the aptitude part:

Game-based cognitive tests are interactive, so we can’t reproduce them in text. The reasoning topics above train the same habits of pattern-spotting and quick judgement.

Practice Questions in the Reported Style

These are original practice questions written for the topic areas Capgemini names, not claims that they appeared on a real Capgemini test.

1. Speed. A train 150 m long passes a pole in 15 seconds. What is its speed in km/h? Answer: 36 km/h. The speed is 150 / 15 = 10 m/s, and 10 x 3.6 = 36 km/h.

2. Percentage. After a 20% discount, a bag costs Rs 800. What was the original price? Answer: Rs 1,000. 800 is 80% of the original, so the original is 800 / 0.8 = Rs 1,000.

3. Coding-decoding. If CAT is coded as DBU, how is DOG coded? Answer: EPH. Each letter moves one place forward: D to E, O to P, G to H.

4. Number series. What comes next: 3, 6, 11, 18, 27, ? Answer: 38. The gaps are 3, 5, 7, 9, so the next gap is 11 and 27 + 11 = 38.

5. Blood relations. Pointing to a man, Anu says, “He is the son of my mother’s only brother.” How is the man related to Anu? Answer: cousin. Her mother’s brother is her maternal uncle, and his son is her cousin.

6. Time and work. A can finish a job in 12 days and B in 24 days. How long do they take together? Answer: 8 days. Together they do 1/12 + 1/24 = 3/24 = 1/8 of the job per day.

7. Average. The average of five numbers is 20. When one number, 30, is removed, what is the average of the remaining four? Answer: 17.5. The total is 5 x 20 = 100, and removing 30 leaves 70, so the average is 70 / 4 = 17.5.

8. Verbal. Choose the correct word: “She has been working here ___ 2020.” (since / for) Answer: since. “Since” marks a starting point in time, while “for” is used with a length of time, such as “for six years”.

How to Prepare When the Sources Disagree

Prepare for the overlap. Practise the three areas Capgemini names, keep English grammar and spoken fluency sharp, and add some pseudocode and coding practice in case your drive includes the technical rounds. Read the instructions in your own test invite before you rely on any figure from a prep site.
